As I grow older and get more skilled and experienced at what I do, I find that the biggest battle I fight on a daily basis is complacency. I find that it takes a lot more effort to stay hungry, to challenge myself to keep growing, to keep stretching and to stay disciplined.
It’s easier to rest on my laurels than to set a new goal that will stretch me. Sometimes I’m tempted to compare my output to those around me. So I have to continuously remind myself that my true competition is not my neighbor, not my colleague at work, but the person I was born to become!
Stay hungry!
