A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber -King Solomon
One of the great lessons I’ve learnt as a leader is that “little things matter”. Good leaders understand the importance of paying attention to the little things, without ignoring the big picture. It’s not uncommon to hear the slogan “Don’t sweat the small stuff” when you chat with leaders. While I agree that leaders should not be bogged down by little things, I also believe that they should not ignore them. I’ve come to realize that today’s small challenges, if not taken care of, will eventually become tomorrow’s big problems.
It Matters!
